After missing the majority of the season due to illness and recovery it was really good to finally get some consecutive weeks of training in and get over to France to race Boucles de L’oise with VC Londres.

Big Thank you to VCL for giving me the opportunity.

Stage 1, 112km - A very successful stage !
I won the 60km prime and the points jersey. Plus me and teammate Alex went 2up for the last 35km taking 1/2 for the stage (2nd for me)

(Left to right) Dan, Matt, Alex, me & Luke leading the Team Classification

Stage 2 was a 16km TT, normally this would have been one of my best stages but as I’m still building the fitness back I think I wasn’t ready for the multiple stages. My legs were still feeling it from the day before, I was 3rd at the intermediate time check but i didn’t quite hang on to that, still I put in a time good enough for 5th on the stage and it kept me still 2nd in GC so couldn’t be too disappointed.

Stage 3, 89km - The plan to keep Alex and me 1st / 2nd and stay 1st Team overall.  As a team we worked really well throughout the stage covering various attacks.

We finished in the lead group taking the group time and holding onto our GC positions and 1st Team overall. A fantastic result for us all.
Despite gaining some more points in the stage towards the points jersey, I was tied In points at the end & finished 2nd in the points GC on countback.
Also I finished 3rd in the climbers GC !

Hopefully I get to do a few more events before the season ends.

Thanks to everyone that continues to support me 👌
