My first event for the 2025 season was the VC ST Raphael Classic,Pain on Portsdown TT. It was a freezing cold day, too cold to worry about the aero race kit, full winter kit was needed, a jersey over the gabba, and I was still cold on the decent. The TT was 2 laps, approximately 16.5miles. I finished in 39:22, the only rider sub 40 - 1st overall with the quickest time for the road bike category as well as the TT Bike category

Thanks to the VC ST Raphael Team & Timekeeper’s for a well run event :)

My second event for the season was supposed to be the Bath Cycling Club hilly 24 but unfortunately it got cancelled due to the forecasted strong winds and rain.

Next up for me is the Royal Navy Cup National B Road Race in Ilton Somerset on Saturday 1st March. It’s on a closed circuit but as it’s 120km it’s classed as a road race. It’s a flat windy circuit, not a particular favourite of mine, I’d definitely prefer a few hills, but nonetheless I’m really looking forward to it and looks like a good start list and a full field so it will definitely make for some good racing. I’m always nervous for the first race of the season, but excited too. I seem to be making some good progression in my training over the last few weeks and the following weekend I’ll be racing in Belgium so this race is also perfect prep for those races too.

Keep an eye out for my New TT Bike coming soon, unfortunately my original sponsorship TT bike for 2025 has been delayed from the factory, so a unexpected last minute build was needed, thanks to all those who are helping with this, I’ve had an unbelievable amount of support to make this possible, from the sponsorship funds, parts, the build & the fit.  So excited to get back on a TT bike soon !

Also a new Team Kit, which should be here in the next coulple weeks 🤞
